La película The Power of the Dog (El poder del perro) es el film con más nominaciones teniendo 12, le sigue Dune con 10. 

Este martes 8 de febrero la academia de Hollywood anunció los nominados para la 94 edición de los premios Oscar.

Para mejor película, los candidatos son: Belfast, King Richard (Rey Richard), CODA, Licorice pizza (Parque mágico), Don’t look up (No mires arriba), Nightmare alley (El callejón de las almas perdidas), Drive my car, Dune, West side story (Amor sin barreras), The power of the dog (El poder del perro).

Mejor dirección Jane Campion, en “The Power of the Dog”; Steven Spielberg, en “West Side Story”, Kenneth Branagh en “Belfast”; Ryusuke Hamaguchi en “Drive My Car”; Paul Thomas Anderson, “Licorice Pizza”.

Mejor actor los nominados son Benedict Cumberbatch, en su actuación en “The Power of the Dog”; Andrew Garfield en la película “Tick, Tick... Boom!”; Will Smith en “King Richard”; Denzel Washington en “The Tragedy of McBeth” y Javier Bardem en la película “Being the Ricardos”. 

Mejor actriz Kristen Stewart en “Spencer”; Penélope Cruz, con su actuación en “Madres paralelas”; Nicole Kidman en “Being the Ricardos”; Jessica Chastain, “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” y Olivia Colman, “The Lost Daughter”.

Actor de reparto están Jesse Plemons y Kodi Smit-McFee, “The Power of the Dog”; Ciarán Hinds, “Belfast”; J.K. Simmons, “Being the Ricardos” y Troy Kotsur, “CODA”

Para actriz de reparto las nominadas son Kristen Dunst, “The Power of the Dog”; Ariana DeBose, “West Side Story”; Jessie Buckley, “The Lost Daughter”; Judi Dench, “Belfast” y  Aunjanue Ellis, “King Richard”.
